    Inspect the readable fields. Location is reported only when GPS metadata is present in that file.

    For JPEG, PNG, or WebP, create a basic clean copy by re-encoding and checking it again before download.

READ THE LIMITS

A signal is not a verdict.

  • No GPS result means no readable GPS tag was found; it does not prove the image was never geotagged.
  • Metadata formats vary, and unsupported or damaged fields may not be readable.
  • Re-encoding can alter quality, colour profiles, file size, transparency, or animation. Keep the original.
  • Removing metadata does not remove clues visible inside the picture itself.
